Barijera protiv životinja koje kopaju, za nasipe
Dabrovi, jazavci i druge životinje koje kopaju ponekad mogu izazvati prilično veliku štetu na padinama obala, duž nasipa ili u nasipima ispunjenim zemljom. U izolovanim slučajevima, takva šteta koju su prouzrokovali ovi sisari mogla bi dovesti do povećanog rizika od globalnih propusta padina sa ozbiljnim posledicama prekomernih poplava za zajednice koje žive u ovoj oblasti. Testovi sprovedeni na Tehnološkom univerzitetu u Beču na nekoliko tipova sistema barijera dokazali su da je čelična mreža jedini način da se stvori neprobojna barijera koja će odoleti snažnom ugrizu dabra. Štaviše, ova rešenja promovišu uspostavljanje vegetacije, olakšavajući integraciju u životnu sredinu. Koristimo reciklirani čelik, što dodatno doprinosi smanjenju emisije CO2.

RAILWAY EMBANKMENT BURROWING PREVENTION

The East West Rail Alliance (EWRA) is a large project which plans to utilise the previously built and abandoned varsity railway line to re-build an upgraded line that links Oxford and Cambridge via Bicester, Milton Keynes and Bedford avoiding London. The planned route covers an extensive distance consisting of diverse environmental challenges. As you progress through this countryside route, there is a variety of wildlife including a large amount of Badgers. Badgers are fantastic diggers and have many burrows at any given time. Occasionally badgers burrow underneath live rail embankments which can lead to collapse and delays in the line due to water ingress through the network of burrows deep into the embankment. WALTHAM HIGH SCHOOL
Due to limited real estate locations and the necessity of urban development, new constructions are often being built near new and existing rock slopes which are inherently prone to rockfall. Such is the case for the new Waltham High School in Waltham, MA. Designed to accommodate 1,830 students, a site expansion was needed to accommodate the new building. This created a 120ft high rock wall behind the building, which represented a serious rockfall risk to the students and faculty.
