Challenge

TÜMAD Mining Inc. is currently constructing the Ivrindi Gold and Silver Ore and Enrichment Mine near Balikesir in Western Turkey. During the construction of the main crusher buildings rockfall occurred from the steep slopes nearby and forced the stoppage of the building construction.

Solution

In accordance with the urgency of the situation and in line with the technical and economic conditions, Double-Twisted Wire Mesh has been installed on the steep slopes passing along the construction site next to the heels of the slopes. In order to establish a safe environment for the construction site as soon as possible, the material transportation and the complete installation of the wire mesh has been carried out in less than a week.
